Sáng nay, ngày 4/12/2018, bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108, hợp tác cùng tổ chức phẫu thuật sọ mặt – Facing The World (Anh), đã chính thức ra mắt Trung tâm phẫu thuật Sọ mặt và Tạo hình đầu tiên tại Việt Nam.

Nhằm tiếp tục cho công cuộc thay đổi số phận cho những người kém may mắn với dị tật sọ mặt bẩm sinh, bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108 đã chính thức cho ra mắt Trung tâm phẫu thuật Sọ mặt và Tạo hình dưới sự hợp tác cùng tổ chức phẫu thuật sọ mặt Facing The World, Vương quốc Anh – một trong những tổ chức nhân đạo quy tụ rất nhiều các tay nghề, chuyên gia hàng đầu trong lĩnh vực phẫu thuật sọ mặt và tạo hình.

Theo thống kê của Bộ Y tế, cứ mỗi năm Việt Nam phải đón nhận tới hơn 5000 trẻ em sinh ra mắc. Được biết, dị tật vùng sọ mặt là một trong những dị tật bẩm sinh hàng đầu tại Việt Nam. Nhận thức sâu sắc vấn đề này, bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108, với bề dày 40 năm lịch sử xây dựng và phát triển khoa Phẫu thuật Hàm mặt và Tạo hình cùng đội ngũ cán bộ chuyên sâu, trình độ chuyên môn cao, đã hợp tác cùng các tổ chức nhân đạo quốc tế phẫu thuật cho hơn 2000 bệnh nhận mắc dị tật vùng hàm mặt trên khắp Việt Nam.

Thế nhưng, con số này vẫn chưa là gì với con số 5000 trẻ em sinh ra mắc dị tật sọ mặt do Bộ Y tế thống kê. Do đó, sự ra đời của Trung tâm phẫu thuật Sọ mặt và Tạo hình thuộc bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108 chắc chắn sẽ mở ra nhiều hơn nữa cơ hội cho các trẻ em mắc dị tật vùng sọ mặt bẩm sinh tìm lại niềm vui trong cuộc sống.
