+ Siêu âm chuẩn đoán dị tật bẩm sinh: Mặc dù thai nhi gần như đã phát triển hoàn thiện các bộ phận nhưng cân nặng chưa quá lớn, thông qua siêu âm bác sĩ sẽ dễ dàng phát hiện những bất thường về hình thái của thai. Nếu nhận thấy có những dấu hiệu khác thường, mẹ bầu sẽ được chỉ định thực hiện các xét nghiệm để quyết định có nên đình chỉ thai nghén không vì nếu phải thực hiện việc này cần phải làm trước tuần 28 của thai kỳ.
Siêu âm 4D và thực hiện các xét nghiệm cần thiết theo yêu cầu của bác sĩ chuyên khoa là việc bắt buộc cần làm trong tuần 22 của thai kỳ.
+ Tiêm phòng uốn ván: Mũi tiêm uốn ván đầu tiên cho các bà bầu thường được chỉ định trong tháng thứ 4 hoặc thứ 5 của thai kỳ.
