Hơn 4 năm làm vợ chồng, có với nhau một cậu con trai kháu khỉnh, đáng yêu, những tưởng vậy là mái ấm gia đình sẽ hạnh phúc. Nào ngờ, khi tôi đang mang bầu đứa con thứ hai, là một cô công chúa, chồng tôi đã đùng đùng ép tôi phải bỏ con.

Ngày đó anh đi làm xa, chỉ có thể gửi tiền về cho tôi nuôi con. Là người làm công việc văn phòng, không có nhiều tiền nhưng tôi cũng cố gắng tiết kiệm từng đồng.

Có khi quần áo mới cũng chẳng dám mua, lại nghĩ dành tiền lo cho con. Mẹ chồng biết tôi vất vả nên vô cùng thương và yêu quý tôi.

Chỉ có chồng tôi là khác, anh đi làm xa, có các mối quan hệ khác và cuối cùng, anh đã phải lòng người đàn bà đó. Anh yêu cô ta bao nhiêu năm, tôi cũng không rõ. Có thể ngay từ cái ngày anh đặt chân lên mảnh đất ấy để làm ăn.

Tôi cứ tin và yêu chồng, vẫn luôn nghĩ anh là người đàn ông tử tế. Cho đến ngày mọi chuyện vỡ lở, là khi cô ta gọi điện về tận nhà “dằn mặt” tôi.

Trên đời lại có người đàn bà trơ trẽn đến vậy, ngoại tình cướp chồng người khác lại còn dám đánh ghen với vợ của anh ta. Tôi chưa từng thấy thứ đàn bà nào như vậy.

Tôi hỏi chồng, ban đầu anh chối nhưng sau, không còn lý do nào để biện minh cho mình nữa. Tôi nói anh quay về, tôi sẽ tha thứ. Nhưng điều bất ngờ là không? Anh bảo tôi không có chuyện đó, vì anh yêu người con gái đó. Tôi mang bầu, cô ta cũng mang bầu nên giải pháp của anh là muốn tôi phá thai vì không muốn có quá nhiều con, sau này chính anh cũng không gánh vác được.

Từ đó, anh đi biệt, mẹ anh chửi mắng anh, cấm tiệt anh về căn nhà này. Thấy tôi đau khổ, khóc lóc vật vã, sống khổ sở, mẹ cảm thông vô cùng. Mẹ cũng là phụ nữ, cũng từng bị bố chồng phản bội nên thấu hiểu vô cùng nỗi đau ấy.

Đúng là chồng tôi đã đi lại vết xe đổ của bố. Mẹ không cho phép anh đưa cô gái kia về dù cô ta có con. Mẹ cũng không chấp nhận anh gọi là mẹ nếu không quay về, dứt bỏ tình cảm nơi kia.

Nhưng anh ta không làm vậy, anh ta chọn người đàn bà đó, còn mẹ chọn tôi. 5 năm rồi, thi thoảng anh mới dám gọi cho mẹ hỏi thăm sức khỏe nhưng chưa một lần mẹ nói anh về chơi.

Mẹ luôn nói với tôi rằng: “Mẹ nhận con là con gái, con đừng nghi ngờ gì tình cảm của mẹ. Con và cháu cứ sống ở đây, mẹ và con sẽ cố gắng vì nhau, vì các cháu mà sống tốt.”

Tôi sinh ra đã mồ côi cha mẹ nên những điều mẹ nói khiến tôi xúc động vô cùng. Cũng chẳng có sự lựa chọn nào khác.

Tôi quyết định nhận làm con gái của mẹ và phụng dưỡng mẹ như mẹ đẻ của mình. Con cái cũng khôn lớn, vất vả một chút nhưng thấy trong lòng bình yên.

Tôi mặc kệ những chuyện khác, tôi không quan trọng chồng tôi ở đâu làm gì nữa. Hiện tại, mẹ đã cho tôi và các con thừa kế lại căn nhà chúng tôi đang sống phòng khi…

Mẹ sợ mẹ con tôi ra đường nếu sau này có chuyện gì, sợ con trai bà đòi nhà. Nên mẹ đã phòng xa như vậy. Tôi thực sự xúc động trước tấm lòng của mẹ và tôi tin, trên đời này, vẫn có những người mẹ chồng thực sự coi chúng ta như con gái.
